Who We Are

At Newcastle Community Preschool we respect and embrace the Awabakal people of this region as the traditional custodians and cultural knowledge holders of this land on which the preschool stands.

Newcastle Community Preschool is a lovely 20 place a day preschool that is located in the heart of Newcastle CBD, with access to a wide variety of exciting community places to visit at our doorstep.

Newcastle Community Preschool is a not-for-profit organisation, which is run by a wonderful parent/community management committee.

Our homely indoor environment and outdoor play space are filled with an abundance of opportunities for the children to investigate, inquire, hypothesise, experiment, explore, question, take risks and collaborate. We offer a rich, play based curriculum that builds on children's strengths allowing them to express themselves as individuals and flourish as learners.

“When we returned to Newcastle after two years away, our youngest could have enrolled in kindergarten, but we all decided we wanted one more year at our favourite preschool. Jess and her educators do brilliant work creating a welcoming and engaging environment, stimulating the children's curiosity and creativity. and ensuring that the children feel included, empowered, and appreciated. It is such a special place that our older daughter's 9th birthday wish was to go back to preschool - and Jess made it happen. Both of our girls loved their days at preschool. learning through play and building friendships that have carried over into their school lives”
